One more thing I hate about this place is one of the managers. When he does check out, he makes comments about EVERYTHING. Whatever item you buy, he makes weird comments about it. I guess he thinks he's trying to be funny or nice, but after waiting in line for a long time and then have the guy wasting time making weird comments about my items, I find incredibly unprofessional. Maybe it'd be different if he was actually funny, but it's just annoying, and he does it all the time.
Never go out of your way for this place
Wide selection... avg pricing... above avg, service & employees. Pharmacy available too, if they decide to fill your prescriptions... other than that... pretty good spot
Abundant parking and decent selection of items. That's all that's good about this place.
One time I went to the 15-item-or-less line, I had 4 items. One of the workers (I think a bakery worker) had a sandwich and drink and came behind me, and asked he if could go ahead of me since he only had two items. I don't mind letting someone ahead of me when I have a large basket of items and they only have a couple, but I thought it was odd that he would ask that when I only had two more items than him. Also, he worked there. Against better judgement, I told him to go ahead and jump ahead of me. As he was checking out, he proceeded to chat it up with the cashier. I couldn't believe it. I was thinking, dude if you wanted to have a conversation with her, you could've just waited. Not only did I let him go first, then I had to wait for him to stop talking. Incredibly rude.
Every single time I go here, I spend more time waiting in the damn lines than I do shopping. It doesn't matter what day or what time of day. 90% of the cashiers are incredibly slow and don't care. They have conversations with each other often instead of trying to reduce the length of the lines. Why doesn't this place have self-checkout?!
Safeway is an awesome store and this one is very nice. The staff asked if they could help me and greeted by all the staff with whom I came in contact. Check out was easy and pleasant. I could easily spend a fortune on so many delicious looking food.
I went their for the first time in 25 years and just love the nice cashier i had. It was so nice to actually have a young girl actually knowing how to give good customer service.
A good basic supermarket with one of the best florist in town.
