The tiny silver lining to the whole fiasco is that I was able to get the bills quashed.

Having just recently moved to Frederick, it is comforting to know that my new community has such an excellent hospital nearby!

Never will we ever go back to this hospital. The service of the doctor that delivered our baby was good, But the nurses where horrible and rude. They refuse to write a prescription to reduce the pain my wife was going through all they said was we don't do that here because people abuse the drugs. Because one person abuse the drug do you have to use that to judge others. Also they refuse to give us enough disposable pant for my wife and she was bleeding heavily she was told to learn to reuse the disposable pants. I think FMH should learn from shady Groove hospital there service is fantastic we delivered our first daughter there i prefer to travel extra 10 miles for a better service. Please don't forget it is the patient that will pay the bill to keep the hospital running not the worker please do something about your nurses

If you care about your loved ones, DO NOT COME HERE !!! The absolute worst hospital I have ever been to. I should have listened to the local residents when they also warned me to not go here, but it was the closest thing. On 2 separate occasions , I and another family member were sent home and later rushed to the hospital in another county. No matter how bad they are, you will still get a bill even after they misdiagnose you. I have no idea how they remain open (It's that Bad). They have the worst reputation in the community. Go to Hagerstown or Montgomery county, if you really are looking for true medical help. You would be better going to urgent care of looking on google for help. Anything is better than this place. If there is a kind comment, trust me its from someone on their staff because everyone in Frederick knows this place as the hospital of Death.

Dr discharged me... telling me that somebody would come and take my IV line out. I waited for a hour.. My bf kept asking the nurse when somebody would come to take it out... she acted like she had an attitude... I ENDED UP TAKING OUT MY OWN IV LINE. Not going back there again.

When I went to see a specialist at another practice, the break was diagnosed immediately and set properly.

Earlier this evening my mother began having trouble breathing, after having a bad cough/cold the past few days, and needed to go to the ER. The FMH Emergency Department staff were polite and efficient, yet thorough. My mother was checked in by staff immediately, followed by a brief (

The last time I was here, I waited about two hours to see a doctor. It was getting on to midnight, the parking lot was less than a tenth full, and the waiting room was close to empty. There were no emergency arrivals after I got there, either. I'm mystified as to what the delay was.

On the way out, I was given a prescription for a painkiller that is contraindicated for a medication I'm taking. Nice! Fortunately, I read the dispensary notes and did my own research, and ended up throwing out the medication. Unfortunately, I couldn't return the prescription, so that was another waste of money. Thanks, FMH!

All told, going to FMH and waiting hours to be misdiagnosed cost almost a thousand dollars. I could have gone to the local pharmacy to buy and apply a splint on my own for about ten dollars... Which is what I told them when I filed a formal complaint. The appeals process was long, irritating, and completely opaque.

When I was finally called back, a nurse took about half an hour to show up and examine me. About an hour after that, the doctor finally showed up. (I learned later she was only a PA.) She took about half an hour to incorrectly diagnose my finger as not broken. When I insisted that I knew what a broken finger feel like, she pretended to re-examine my X-ray and claimed to see a break. Just getting paperwork done and having a splint applied took another half hour.
