I loved this place! Food and staff were great and I loved my waitress. I didn't get her name tho! (Glasses and brown hair) Anyways, the chef gave us complimentary donuts and the food is delicious, please go here! :)

Alex is the best thing that happened to this location! She makes the dining experience wonderful with her perfect care and gentle demeanor. The new bar in the middle of the restaurant is interesting, although it took away from the "be here to be seen" that the bar up front offered. Much of the restaurant appears empty from the front where the intense red lights are just way too much red light and makes you need to sit in the back to get away from them. The outdoor eating ares is the best. And while the decor is bland yet too intense with the red and not as good as the former Acacia, it is a large space to dine if you have a large table. I still order the staples that used to be there for Acacia and miss the Province. But will deal with this restaurant for Alex! Much of the other staff is not competent. So we always ask for Alex! Let's hope they bring back the Acacia menu we lost or at least tone down the current mood.

On to food, we had the calamari--light and not all fried flour, which it so often it can be. The oysters were delish and had a wonderful flavor. The BEST though was a special last night, was a mixture of different types of seafood in an amazing tomato saffron broth. It was AMAZING. The wine was also wonderful (True Myth Chardonnay and Cab). We ended with a special rhubarb upside down cake that was melt in your mouth good and perfect for a warm night.

I was so sad to walk in and see this restaurant practically empty on a Friday night. From what I understand they changed their name and menu, so perhaps that explains it. My husband and I are picky having lived in both Baltimore and DC with access to great restaurants, obviously the selection in Frederick is smaller. This is a great place. Their outdoor patio is beautiful. The service was so friendly and personal.

Excellent brunch menu! Has $3 Mimosas and $3 Bloody Mary's on the weekend. Probably the best Crab Benedict I had ever eaten!!!

Highly Recommended!!

Recently changed its menu from a Latin-centric cuisine to a more upscale contemporary one. So far, I like the transition. Still has a quiet atmosphere and great wait staff.
