You don't deserve one star, but I had no choice. You must employ the rudest, most insensitive, laziest, ignorant, unqualified "medical personnel" in the state. Not surprising considering your hospital employs the same kind of staff. Your staff forgot to show up for appointments, didn't make phone calls, and even forgot to contact the patient for weeks at a time. We felt like we needed to start keeping an "EXCUSE LOG". ("I don't know what happened." "The paperwork must have gotten lost." "I was going to come but....." "The Intake Nurse didn't leave good instructions or history." "I've been busy. I'll get to it when I can" "You didn't say you wanted me to come back." "We don''t do that." "That's not my job. I don't know who does that in our agency." "I thought so-and-so was here/taking care of it.") They didn't follow though on promises to take care of critical issues patient needed addressed, and they didn't communicate with doctors or other agencies involved in patient's care. No one ever came to help bathe the patient or wash their hair. Family got disgusted and hired someone to come in. Staff were absentminded, confused, didn't understand their duties and why they were there, made excuses, and 2 of them out-right lied to cover their incompetence. We are still looking into how long our insurance was billed for their visits, since they only stayed about 20 minutes each time. The RN needs psychiatric help. The PT's idea of helping the patient obtain walking independence each visit was to tell them to lift each leg 10 times and walk once around the room - then she left - after 18 minutes. Your staff has mastered the craft of shoving all the responsibility, effort and blame on the patient. So what does anyone need you for? To throw away money? Upset the patient and hinder their recovery? Waste everyone's time? Pffft If you think for one second that this is just an unreasonable, disgruntled patient, think again. The other REAL PROFESSIONALS from various agencies/organizations involved in the patient's care, needs and well-being were APPALLED by your gross negligence and attitudes. We got rid of you and got another agency. They have been OUTSTANDING!!!! You could learn a lot from them. Shame on you!!!
What a wonderful organization!! They were so helpful with my mother in law who is 91, when she came home from Fmh after having a stroke. The nurse was very through in answering any question we had and with her care. She was very personable, kind and caring. We thought the physical therapist and occupational therapist were awesome! We also like the aid who came in twice a week to help with my mother in laws shower. I highly recommend fmh home health services. Thank you all again for your assistance with my mother in law it made her after care go so smoothly!!
Disclaimer: I work for this agency, but I am not in management, nor was I asked by anyone in management to post a rating. Been working for this agency as PT for about 1.5 years and have worked for at least 5 other agencies. This is a quality agency and I have never seen a nursing and rehab staff work so well together to provide the best outcomes for their patients!
