If you're looking for a roofing contractor in Frederick, look no further. This is the company to hire. Here's my experience with PJ's:
We bought our new home and had contractors painting and putting in new carpet prior to moving in. While they were there, we had heavy rains and my roof was leaking in two different places. We had standing water on our bedroom floors. The contractor recommended I call PJ's, so I did. PJ's was up there repairing the roof, in the pouring rain, within a couple hours. PJ's said we might get another year out of the roof, but it needed to be replaced.
PJ's did a wonderful job on our roof. PJ was very helpful as we sorted out how to approach the project. The workers who installed the roof were very professional and friendly. I highly recommend them.
PJ's is the only contractor I've ever used in 64 years that I would give anything above a 3 star rating. I wish I could give them 6.
PJ's did my roof several years ago now. They did a great job, on time at a very reasonable price. They used architectural shingles that I thought looked good at the time. After several years I have to say, every time I come home and see that roof, I'm still impressed on how good it looks.
We hired PJ's to unclog a gutter that was out of reach for my husband. Not only did PJ's come when scheduled, but they came mid-storm, AND they repaired some damage done to our roof by the storm. We would definitely use them again, and we're so grateful for the security and peace of mind they provided us through their services.
A couple months later, we had rain water dripping down under our fireplace mantel during a big storm. PJ's came out right away and repaired the flashing on the chimney. At that point we decided enough is enough.
PJ came out and gave me an estimate to paint a flat roof and replace some shingles. I agreed and scheduled the job. When his guys came out to complete they noticed the roof shouldn't be painted due to being EPDM. Instead of just painting it, he was honest and let me know. They still replaced the shingles and didn't charge me. This company is responsive, thorough, and honest. We need more companies like this.
We went ahead and hired PJs to replace the whole roof. Their price was very fair, and the quality of their work was excellent. They knocked it out in a day and my property was spotless when they left. Never another drop of water.
Five years later, we built our dream home and put that house up for sale. Our buyer requested we make a change to the exterior siding that would have done more harm than good. I asked PJ to come out and take a look. He came out a couple days later and and provided an email that explained why the buyer's request didn't make sense. I was able to forward it to the buyer, which convinced them to cancel the request and saved me money.
