I had been here before, wore I was not going to come back but my memory faded and its convenient. Won't make that mistake again.
I have only been there one time. I had the older gentleman described in the other review. He was excellent. It was a great experience. And I plan to visit again. I just hope that I don't get the unskilled lady described in the other review!
My husband and I have just moved to the area. We started going to Magic Foot Spa in June and had fantastic experiences with the massage therapists that worked here at that time, an older man and woman who were great at their job.
Just seemed lazy. Spent way too much time on shoulders and upper back when I asked for more time on lower back which is where as a runner a lot of my tightness is.
Have never had a bad experience or a bad massage here. Wendy is excellent as is jenny and the older gentleman whom i also can't name. No one hefe has ever asked for a gratuity, let alone asked for more.
Beware the berating unskilled masseuse!
The place was also cold and they use massage creme instead of oil which with the menthol? in the creme made it feel even colder.
HOWEVER, there seems to have been a turnover in staff, and now there are two women working here who are quite aggressive and confrontational about getting bigger tips. One of the women is a fairly good masseuse but the other is not, and she is the louder and more in your face one of the two. We tipped 20 percent of the price of our massage, yet the louder, less skilled one of the two called us out in her very limited English demanding more money. Needless to say we will NEVER return to Magic Foot Spa, and we hope the owners read this review so they know what is going on at their spa.
Had a pretty bad massage here today. Asked for 90 minutes but it was so poor I quit after 60. I had Ana who spent half the time sitting down while massaging. Not just on the head and shoulders part but when working on legs etc.
