Very solid BBQ place in Maryland. Brisket and pulled pork melted in your mouth and tasted delicious. Service was attentive. Only drawback is the serving size isn't that big for BBQ but the price is affordable so you can buy additional servings. Definitely a solid recommendation if you're in the area.
We had been hiking nearby and looked up places to pickup since we had our dogs with us. I am glad we found this place. Our food was done by the time we got there and it definitely hit the spot. Friendly staff and nice location. I would recommend this place if you like barbecue.
I work for a department within the Stockman Cancer Institute, this is the best BBQ that you can get in Frederick. Everyone loves their dry rub and Kansas City sauce. Ordering is easy and it’s always ready quick for us to pick up. Staff is friendly and always very helpful. We are the envy of the lunch room whenever we return with the Hog! ;)
The food was absolutely amazing, didn't take too long to come out, and the sauces were all really great. The reason for the 3 stars is, the service was pretty bad. I sat up at the bar, and the bartender was loudly speaking to one waitress about how a different waitress has no communication skills, is messing everything up, then proceeded to open a bottle of Maker's Mark with her teeth. I understand the business of waitressing, but if some things like that must be discussed, it shouldn't be in front of a full bar of people. And Maker's Mark should never be opened with teeth.
Really tasty food. We did take out and person taking our order was a bit curt. Food is a bit expensive compared to competitor that have nicer staff and nicer ambience.
