My friend and I arrived around 9pm for dinner. We were greeted and waited on by Alexander. He explained some of the drink choices to us and we were able to make a good decision. The drinks were brought out fairly promptly and were made to perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed my drink.

Our waitress, Raven F, was an absolute doll! She was running her booty off, extremely busy but made sure we were taken care of, got everything perfect and was just so very sweet! Wanted to give her the props she deserves! Y'all are lucky to have this wonderful young lady! Our meal was excellent also! ❤️❤️❤️
Came here with a friend over the weekend just to get something to eat and drink nothing too crazy but it really wasn't pleasant. The person we had I believe was Jasmena and she started off nice but then seemed to just stop caring after we placed the orders for the apps. Maybe it was too much for her maybe not but when we asked her how much longer for the food a simple let me check or just a few more minutes would have been fine. Instead she sucked her teeth and just walked away. I found that very rude. It just got worse after the food came out. She didn't come back to refill our drinks so we had to ask another employee walking by. When we asked for the check she basically tossed it on the table. Food was good just the server basically ruined it.
I love Applebee's, just not this one. Too bad it's the only one in Frederick. It's sad. Even the Applebee's in middle-of-nowhere Cumberland Maryland has WAY better service and quality.
This place has terrible service. Last night we waited over a half hour for our appetizer after we ordered it. Then we waiting another ten plus minutes after the appetizer was gone for our meal. When they served the meal, mine (bourbon chicken and shrimp) was missing the shrimp. We were told the shrimp were taking a long time to cook so they brought us the rest of the meal so it did not get cold. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't shrimp cook much faster than chicken breast?
We decided to skip appetizers and go straight for our entrees. We both ordered 8oz medium-rare steak, one with sweet mashed potatoes and grilled veggies, the other with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli and the steak topped with Cajun grilled shrimp. Everything was outstanding! I couldn't finish my entree and had to take it home, but it was so delicious I desperately wanted to. I even used my fork to dab the juices from the steak and cajun seasonings.
This is not the first time we have had issues here. A couple of months ago the lemon they put in our water was so rotten we could smell the funk coming from our water glass. They gave us a free soda, but really? Where is the health department when you need them.
I like Applebee's. However, my experiences have been very hit-or-miss. In the case of my experience yesterday, it was a hit!
We finished our entire meal...and no shrimp. Finally after the plates were cleared they brought out the shrimp- which were nearly raw. I asked for a box figuring I could take them home and finish cooking them myself (defeating the purpose of eating out). We paid and after asking a second time (and waiting another ten minutes) for a box, we gave up.
Cory the bartender is that dude and he is making this bar some major money, ✊ my brother as I see lazy ass manager trying to micro manage you. 5 stars for Cory! All his customers are Happy, just go around and ask them MANAGER instead of micro managing.
To be fair, they did not charge for the shrimp, but I really wanted them. It was like cake without icing. I wanted the good part.
The $1 margaritas have very little booze in them, but they are only a buck.
Oh, and the silverware was super dirty. There were leafy greens on my knife. Not kidding . Actual leaves.
Alexander came back multiple times to check on us and make sure that we were doing okay. Big plus in my book. All-in-all, my experience last night was outstanding!
