Goodwill is good, but limited to what it sells for obious reasons. Good over all, employees are helpful and friendly.
Store is very organized and clean. Only complaint is drop off of donation items - hard to get in and out, especially if there are multiple people there.
First off, you just may pull up and there will be no parking spaces. I mean NONE! And it's a small parking lot, so you'll have to leave and come back. Also, most items are overpriced. The racks are so tight with clothes because they are not moving that stuff. If there isn't a price tag on a item, they will NOT sell it to you. You'd have to let them know, then give them 24 hrs to price it. I would like to see more disabled people working there. Most of the staff are regular folks. I support/ donate to Goodwill because they supposedly hire the physically challenged or disabled, blind, autistic people of our community....not sure about this location. Donation drop off is a bit cumbersome to say the least. You have to find a parking spot, or back into the very narrow alley way there and walk up very narrow steep stairs, and if you want a receipt, you have to type all the info in the computer yourself. Donation area looks dangerous for customers. Especially older or elderly customers. This goodwill need a new location and new management!
They provide Good Will to needy families and tax receipts for donated goods in Frederick Md. However lately, though more help was added to receive goods faster, it is not faster because you can't find a place to park. Some Goodwill locations have drive thrus which is easier to off load to and when done a receipt is given you fill out on your own. Why not try this or move where you can?
Decent collection. Found what I needed and plenty of cashiers to assist. Pleasant place overall.
