1/2 lb or half orders were avail for everything I was considering and they made certain I was aware of all my choices. Waiter (Ryan) was frequent to check on me and quick to provide for my additional needs. Anytime I am in this area for training, I will try to include a stop at May's.
Crab cakes are delicious! There's absolutely no filling in it, the oysters are amazing. I ordered a steam oysters and also the fried oysters and both are very good. we also had sweet potato fries, mac and cheese, and their crab dip fries. Everything was amazing. Brian our waiter was also great with our order. Will definitely recommend this place and we'll definitely be back.
I'm very excited! This is my first time rating anything. I'll try to keep it short and sweet. I've only lived in Frederick, Maryland for a year and I'd imagine anyone who's been here longer knows May's very well. Unfortunately for me, I only just discovered it. Service was amazing. Whether they were serving you or simply caught eye contact in passing, staff was pleasant, warm and friendly. Food was excellent and prices were a steal!!!

We had a wonderful experience. Even though only God can make a crab, they buy the best they can get. They were spectacular tonight. We enjoyed plump spiced shrimp. The corn was sweet. The staff courteous, polite and on standby to help wipe up spilled drinks
Classic Frederick spot for crabs. Used to go every year but work will catch up with you. Friendly service is a standard here at Mays. I usually go for the all you can eat option, can't beat the Cole slaw and the hush puppies. I hope this place is around forever, cause when in Maryland you must eat a crab feast. Also don't skip out on the apple sauce. Not too sweet and a little chunky. Thanks May's for always being there through the years, for good times and bad.
We ate outside and considering the weather and odor--not bad, at all. Just that it's fish. It's rather potent-- anyway, there were very few flies buzzing about. I would say, my only criticism was that the condiments on the table were a bit sticky and considering the abundance of hands-on dining going on, I think these should be collected and wiped between parties. Last, if you're not a real Marylander at heart, you may want to ask them to cool it on the Old Bay seasoning. You may step on some toes, from what I've seen here, they seem to bleed it. I'm just not a huge fan.
