What a great experience! While driving through the area on route 70, I noticed some problems with my Honda CR-V and pulled off at the next exit, trying to get close to some help. My car battery light was on and temperature gauge indicated I was overheating. Good thing I had pulled off the interstate because as I drove toward this Audi dealership I lost my power steering and my car just seized up and lost all power. Hundreds of miles from home as well as my destination, service advisor Tom Matthews braved bitter cold temperatures to come out and looked at my car next door. He not only immediately diagnosed my problem (water pump had seized up causing the associated belt to burn up and then my battery to drain completely) But also went completely above and beyond by NOT encouraging me to let their Audi dealership fix it. He asked how many miles I had on my car and knowing it was still under warranty, he told me the best thing for me to do was to call Honda for roadside assistance and get towed to the local Honda dealership. He took me into their warm waiting room, set me up at a desk where I could make calls, and gave me his card with his personal cell on it if I needed anything at all. His advice paid off. Honda took care of me and got me back on the road in a loaner in no time at all. I have to say if I lived in the Frederick area I would absolutely patronize this dealership. Many would have taken advantage of my situation and seen the potential dollar signs. This dealership made nothing off me but I hope sharing my story causes someone who does live locally to give them a try. Tom Matthews is not only really competent but also an incredibly nice man. Thank you Tom; Audi Fredrick, I complement you on having someone as excellent as Tom on your staff!
Have bought 3 new cars from dealers in the last 12 months, with almost all of the transactions done via email + text. Found an Audi and had a very pleasant sales experience from Audi Frederick. The only request I made once the deal was done was for them to ensure I got the mountain license plates for Virginia. Other two dealers (out of state no less) had no problems delivering. Audi Frederick? Delivering the generic VA license plates. I waited to write a review until the plates came just in case they fumbled on that detail and they did. Other than that, sales was great.
First car I've bought from Frederick Audi - a 2018 Audi A5 Sportback. It was a good experience; my sales person, Ian, was responsive and willing to negotiate a deal that worked for me. After I chose my car, they found one in their own pipeline (didn't have to get it from another dealer) and then Ian kept me up-to-date while my car was sailing across the Atlantic. It's good to be kept in the loop. When the car arrived, I was able to pick it up the same day, and I got a 45-minute technical review on it with an offer for a second one if I need it. Since then , I've had no issues with it at all. I feel like they'll be there if I have any questions or issues.
