The last time that I seen doctor Yoon he was very rude to me. I had seen him a week before and was feeling sick. He said he thought I had a virus and put me on steriods. I got worse and went to urgent care. The doctor there said he thought I had a couple strands of a virus that had turned into bronchitis. I then seen Dr. Yoon a week later. He began to ask me what i had took cause I seemed out of it. Please note this is one of the side effects from steroids including depression. He then said that he thought that I was only sick in the head and thought I was bipolar. He told my mother she should commit me to the hospital. The only thing that was wrong with me was i had been sick for awhile, i had been on steriods for awhile, and i had just woke up before I went to my appointment. I was very offended and hurt by his comments and will never go there again.
Wonderful. Dr. Yoon squeezed me into his schedule at the last minute. I was having problems with globus, a feeling that you have something in your throat, a condition I did not realize was being caused by reflux. Instead, I was afraid I was having problems swallowing or even throat swelling due to my newly developed of food allergies. After seeing many doctors, having a soft tissue X-ray, and enduring a barium swallow test, I was referred to Dr. Yoon by an ER doctor late on a Thursday afternoon. Dr. Yoon saw me early the next morning. The idea of laparoscopic exam of my throat made me nervous, but Dr. Yoon was really great with the scope. Even though I have unusually narrow nasal passages, it didn't hurt at all. Dr. Yoon quickly diagnosed my reflux and explained how acid reflux accounted for that unsettling feeling that my throat was clogged after eating. It was such a relief to finally have an answer.
I took my 3.5 year old in for frequent ear infections. He was wonderful with her! She was scared and nervous. He was joking with her and made her laugh. He totally put her at ease. She has never let us use nasal spray in her nose, but he finally sweet talked her into trusting him and by the time we left, she was clutching her new nose spray like a trophy, so excited to use it again later! He was extremely kid friendly and she said she can't wait to go back to that Doctor! That is a major victory for a 3 and a half year old!!
He helped solve a life-long sinus problem.
